Jenna Fischer has become best known as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For her character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was impressed by her mother's worship services when she first started out.
An actress trained in theater, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy was directed and written by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. The Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and co-star, debuted Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world each week. It received over 200,000,000 downloads during its first 2 years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first novel, and details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actress professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, and her experience in The Office.
