Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
One child was strapped onto my back, while the other crawled in the playground. I spent 12 hours days, for months, sanding and stripping wallpaper while carrying one kid. Ha! It was all starting to form, but we weren't anywhere near finished. This was going take the time, energy, and my favorite shopping to furnish this house. My sons, my husband and I were looking for the hidden treasures at estate sales to reduce my expenses. It was our weekly routine to walk around garage sales and auctions on Saturday and Sunday as well as purchase various of furniture, both new and old created. It was my job to spend the day in the driveway either painting or sanding. It was a bit like the picture below... This is where my passion for restoration of furniture started. Although our house had been furnished, I could not stop. I rented a booth on the local market, and also sold items there. Then I bought more that I had no idea about and outgrew the area. At home, I would host open houses, where over 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they wanted from the first floor within a single weekend. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Growing Days was more than a thriving business but as well my family. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business and also being a decent mother. Growing Days seemed like the perfect combination. Nora, my 4th kid was born in the year 2013. My business's direction was excellent, however I had to get some down time. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and also slowed my pace to be at home to help my children. That was precisely the thing I needed. After a while. A lot of people contacted me to ask for advice about home improvement or decorating. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses to purchase furniture. In the course of my work I began adding clients one by one. However, it didn't take that long before I was managing multiple clients and ran an extremely successful business of home renovation. It would have probably laughed at me had you told me this would become the basis of a DIY Network tv series. When I look back, it still makes me laugh.
