Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, known for parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. The actress began her career acting during the 80s. She became famous for Tezaab, a film starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance at an early age. While still a teenager she tried her hand at acting, however most films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then became one of the most well-known actresses within the Indian film business. In the aftermath of her wedding ceremony, she took a brief time off from her acting career prior to returning. More recently she played an important part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women living in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of the awards. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is India's fourth highest civil honor. In addition, she is acknowledged for her work in the field of charity.
